About Bamboo Hydrosol
Hydrosol Energetics: Due to the rise in temperature in the still, the plant material begins to break down in the water and the plant molecules bind to the water molecules. The water then transforms into a gas state, each water molecule will carry with it as much as it can in terms of the dissolved plant molecules. Although the water molecules are limited physically by the amount of plant molecules they can hold, the potency of the hydrosol is also related to the memory of the particular plant and its constituents that have been transferred to the hydrosol by their unique vibrational pulse. So contained within the hydrosol is not only the phytochemical imprint of the plant but also its individual resonant frequency.

About three centuries ago in Europe, the main aim for most plant distillations was to obtain hydrosols, commonly used for medicinal purposes. Essential oils were just a by-product. Today. A number of herbalists and distillers are again popularizing hydrosols in their own right. Professional distillers are starting to process and use hydrosols for natural cosmetics, body sprays, household cleaners and some of them are even distilling uniquely for the hydrosol.
Bamboo hydrosol is produced by steam distillation of 1 kilogram bamboo leaves and stem resulting to 1 liter of bamboo crystal clear bamboo hydrosol. It has a mild, lovely, fresh scent that will take your imagination to a bamboo garden, peaceful, tranquil and full of positive energy.
In the steam distillation unit, pure, clean water is heated and presses itself slowly through the bamboo as vapor, collecting the essential oil and other ingredients. The molecules that make up the oil are larger than water molecules. They take up more space per unit area and are less dense. Thus, essential oils float leaving hydrosols easy to collect. They contain small amounts of essential oil and other water soluble agents from the bamboo plant
Hydrosols don’t need preservatives such as alcohols to keep them fresh. They could be refrigerated, though, to extend the shelf life
There are many uses of hydrosols. They could be used on their own or added as ingredient to other beauty and health products. Bamboo hydrosol, for instance, could be used as light cologne or body spray. It is a powerful bio-water. Moisture depletion in skin can be remedied by spraying a mist of bamboo hydrosol
